this new various artists series on bloody mary’s dame music was birthed, far as i can tell, after a collective of producers spent time hanging out in a berlin club as it was refurbished. one of them was the boss herself, another was label associate jozif and the final two are newer members of the dm fam’ in the form of axel bowman and attan: a diverse crew, to be sure, with equally diverse results.

leeds is mentally over run with nights. when a new one pops up it’s generally not worth investigating ’til a few months in (by which time most have joined a long and sorry list of also-rans). modern amusement, though, stuck out from the off, despite much pointy-elbowed competition.
