to my mind, 2012 was as diverse a year as any in electronic terms, with disperate scenes, locales, labels and so on all plotting thier own unique routes rather than following some overriding but unwritten consensus.

this new ep from ed davenport offers the first taster of what to expect from his forthcoming full length, countercharge. ‘testament’ is the track plucked from said album, and is one which has frankly been getting me very excited.

you know how it works – i like enough of someone’s music and i bug them for an interview. in this case, not only has ed davenport‘s recent run of form been impressive (‘recent’ means last couple of years since, it seems, a re-location to berlin), but so too has he just announced a debut album is on the way.
