a hot new glenn underground landed this week which got me all excited: clean and precise, its jazzed up and smooth house cum techno of the highest order, where move d’s new ep explores the sort of deep, smeared and musical house you’d expect. elsewhere, it’s been out a while, but if you ask me the re-issue of st germain’s classic boulevard album is an essential purchase for any discerning music fan. it was one of the first lps to turn me on to such music and will forever hold a dear place in my heart as a result. another unsung hero, eddie fowlkes, also dropped a lovely two tracker with funky, steppy vibes on one side and more striped back and loungey house on the other. the new tsuba limited i reviewed here also dropped and is worth having, as is the dense, fuzzy technoid sound offered up by the ever excellent lies imprint. because my wife likes it, i also grabbed a copy of funkineven and fatima’s phone line ep as soon as it came back in stock. i recommend you do the same!
