secretsundaze announce nye plans


giles smith and james priestley’s secretsundaze crew are to celebrate new year’s eve at the bunker, juniper wharf, “a freshly christened warehouse space in hackney wick that has underground stamped all over it”.

the now 11 year old party has always flown the flag for deeper house and techno sounds in london, even back before they were the sounds du jour. new year’s eve 2012 will be no different with three headliners in the form of andres – the detroit badboy who was dj for dilla’s slum village outfit back in the day, and now finds himself producing a perfect mix of hip hop and deep house with cuban rhythms and plenty of strings on his own vida as well as moody’s mahogany – alongside a live set from genre blurring bass/techno/house producer and 3024 label boss, martyn. the third and final headliner will be trevino aka marcus intalex, a man who has broken through into techno’s elite this year with releases on martyn’s aformentioned 3024, apple pips plus his own soul: r, the label he has run for decades and which has previously released much of his d&b work under the respected marcus intalex moniker. of course, also in on the action are founding fathers and fearsome djs james and giles.
